Covid-19 measures during the 18th EMN Annual Conference 2021

  • For the continued safety of all, face masks should be worn during the conference.
  • A Covid Safe Ticket is required to attend the pre-conference and conference sessions and will be checked each day.
  • Hygiene measures are provided: hand sanitiser, CO2 sensors, disinfection, and regular cleaning of all surfaces.

How can I get the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) and attend events?

In order to get the CST and gain entry to the event, an EU-Covid digital certificate needs to be scanned. Valid certificates include:

  • Vaccination certificate from an EMA-approved vaccine or Covishield
    • Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca: full vaccination 2 weeks after the 2nd dose
    • Johnson & Johnson: full vaccination 4 weeks after 1 dose
  • Recovery certificate (recovered more than 10 days after a positive PCR test and less than 6 months before traveling)
  • Test certificate that proves that you have taken a negative Covid-19 PCR test (less than 48h old) or a Rapid Antigen Test (less than 24h old)
    • Negative PCR-test validity: day of test + 2 days
    • Negative Antigen test validity: day of test + 1 day

The Covid Safe Ticket can only be generated by people who have received a vaccination certificate, a test certificate, or a medical recovery certificate in an EU member state, or in the European Economic Area (EEA) (Vatican City, Andorra, San Marino and Monaco are assimilated to the EEA) or the United Kingdom or in Switzerland.

Non-EU/Non-Schengen residents may also get the Covid Safe Ticket. To do this you must request an activation code (CTPC code) via https://www.masante.belgique.be/#/covid-19/prescriptions/request. The code can then be used to book a PCR test. The results of this test and the corresponding certificate can be downloaded via the CovidSafeBE App app (Get a certificate via CTPC) or via https://www.masante.belgique.be/#/covid-19/test-result.

The criteria mentioned above: complete vaccination + 2 weeks, or a PCR test -48 hours, or an AG test -24 hours, or a Certificate of Recovery should be respected in all cases.

Test Centres close to the meeting venue:

Paid PCR tests can be performed in all testing centres. If you are coming from abroad, don’t make an appointment. Go directly to a PCR centre (closest centre to hotel indicated below). For some centres, appointments will be needed and can be made beforehand on the official testing website in a test centre of your choice. Please be sure to book these in advance to ensure you get the results in time for the conference.

The nearest testing centre to the meeting venue is the test centre Pacheco, only a 5-minutes’ walk from the DoubleTree by Hilton Brussels City Hotel:

Many pharmacies in the city also offer Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) which provide a test certificate that can be downloaded onto the official Belgian CovidSafeBE App. For example, Buyl pharmacy or Multipharma or Pharmacie Goffin Gray. Please contact the pharmacies directly to check if you meet the conditions for a test on their premises and to book appointments. Antigen tests are only valid for 24 hours.

You can also get tested at Brussels Airport on arrival. Visit the airport website for more details.

Self-testing (antigen or others) do NOT give access to the event as they are not considered to be valid tests by the authorities to obtain the Covid Safe Ticket.
